Tipton County, Indiana, originally embarked on a Jail project in a traditional Design-Bid-Build approach, utilizing an architect and a construction manager-as-agent. After a redesign and two bids that were significantly over budget, the County scrapped the entire project and started over. Focused on a Progressive Design-Build Delivery Process, the County brought in the PSI | Securitecture team to handle the project. The resulting facility of 35,788 square feet on 13 acres was designed with all construction documents ready in 4-1/2 months and final construction complete in the next 12 months.
